Botanic Green Quartzite

Description

Botanic Green is a metamorphic rock prized for its vibrant, “electric” green base. Unlike many other green stones that can look dark or forest-like, this quartzite often features a layered, translucent quality that gives it depth.

• Visual Characteristics: It typically showcases a spectrum of greens—from soft sage to deep emerald—intersected by white, gold, or even subtle reddish-brown veining.

• Hardness: As a quartzite, it is significantly harder and more durable than marble. It ranks approximately 7 on the Mohs scale, making it highly resistant to scratches and acid etching (lemon juice, vinegar).

• Finish: It is most stunning in a Polished finish to highlight the “glassy” depth, but Leathered finishes are also popular for a more organic, matte feel.
